Mars Mining Co. covers the business end of space resources: who's looking for lunar ice, who's paying for it, what the hardware can actually do, and who's hiring. The company in the name is made up, a retro mining outfit "established 2049." We don't dig anything.

Posts are written by the Mars Mining Desk and edited by Alec Weinstein. Each one starts from primary sources such as agency releases, papers and company filings, and links them where the claim is made. We say what we think and what would change our mind. When we get something wrong we fix it and note the correction.

The jobs board pulls listings from employers' public job boards and links straight to the original posting. We don't screen candidates, and a listing isn't an endorsement.
